If you were to die tomorrow…

Would the last words you utter be…”I have lived fully and loved deeply”….”I have left nothing undone and I would not change a thing about my experiences”…”I have no regrets and I can die in peace knowing I have lived this life well.”

We live in extraordinarily demanding times.  Expectations are greater, technology is plentiful and keeps information flowing to us in multiple ways at an unforgiving pace, and our families are under many pressures.  As individuals we are expected to perform miracles in the workplace, manage very tight deadlines, and at the same time be exceptional parents with limited quality time together.  Life is fast, change is constant…it is what it is.

What we’ve lost sight of is that every day we have the ability to make choices that allow us to be resilient in the face of all of this.  We can be dynamic and inspirational leaders, compassionate partners and parents; we can remain whole, well and thriving beings simply by paying attention to how we think, feel, and respond to the people and situations we encounter.  We can choose to make wise decisions that support a life well lived.
