~ Customized Workshops ~
The most
significant challenges faced by organizations today involve
dealing with change, managing and motivating a workforce through
this demanding environment, and recruiting and retaining the top
talent that the marketplace has to offer.
Studies from The Centre for Creative Leadership show that 75% of
careers are derailed for reasons related to emotional
competencies, including inability to handle interpersonal
problems; unsatisfactory team leadership during times of
difficulty or conflict; or inability to adapt to change or
elicit trust. Building these competencies in both leadership and
staff will give companies the competitive edge they look for; no
longer is there significant differentiation in business due to
product or price margin. The most significant leverage an
organization has now lies in it’s people and their
relationships or connections with their co-workers and with
their clients; the buying public.
UCLA research indicates that only 7% of leadership success is
attributable to intellect; 93% of success comes from trust,
integrity, authenticity, honesty, creativity, presence, and
resilience. Our programs address these capabilities in
leadership teams. We focus on building personal competencies
that will allow leaders to cope with the demands placed on them,
while at the same time creating work environments where their
people can thrive and perform at their best.
Our process with our corporate client groups is to first
accurately assess for emotional intelligence competencies to
build awareness of exact need and then to design appropriate
interventions that target the most pressing learning need within
each organization. We work with both leadership teams and
complete workforces to help create positive and productive work
environments, resilient individuals and trusting relationships
both within the organization and with their client base.
Interventions are often a combination of workshops and follow-up
coaching either individually or in teams.
The tools we use include the Bar-On EQi Emotional Intelligence
assessment, and Meyers Briggs Type Indicator, a leading
psychological assessment, and a variety of our own assessments
designed as needed to measure the learning requirements of each
individual organization.
