In my personal experience, I have long believed that I have a choice - I can seek therapy or indulge in art.  I choose ART - time spent in my studio IS my therapy; it calms and restores my soul!  Being raised in an environment that encouraged creative pursuits, I discovered very early on the deep benefits of the creative process for establishing balance, peace, calm, happiness and a connection with one's inner wisdom.  My life is far more enriched and rewarding because of these pursuits.

In our work with individuals in career transition or with those considering retirement, we have found an astonishing number of individuals who have never considered or pursued interests outside their work. Often our professional careers are so time consuming that very little has been left to cultivate personal interests and /or hobbies. With this in mind, we provide opportunities for individuals to explore a number of creative outlets in a quiet, country environment. Come visit our rural studio and choose from hand-built pottery, ceramic painting, glass bead making, jewellery making, crocheting or blacksmithing. Participants spend a full or half day discovering the medium of their choice. These are hands-on, one-on-one to three-on-one guided sessions designed to provide an opportunity to “try out” a new craft. Time will also be spent sharing resources and local offerings for further exploration after our time together. Bring a friend or two on a mini-retreat and get to know your creative side….and yes, you DO have one!
